Right - June, 2001 - A nice Bart Simpson keychain without any distracting copyright notice on it. It sold for 29 baht (about 60 US cents). The yellow is a good Simpsons' yellow--it just does not scan well for some reason. Notice the shirt and pants colors are reversed. It was purchased at the Major Ratchayothin (pictured above on the right). Official Simpsons' PEZ is also for sale here in some upscale grocery stores.

Left - November, 2000 - Huzzah! Finally an excellent and strange Thai Simpsons knockoff. It was purchased from a vendor at Victory Monument. It has the same image on the front and back and features the immortal Bart quote, "Okay, I'll tell him." How's that for a catchphrase?

Below - November, 2000
- November brought the premiere of CyberWorld 3D in Bangkok featuring a computer animated segment from The Simpsons. The Thai caption (roughly translated) reads, "The first animated 3D movie in the world." The photo above is the painted billboard on the outside of the Major Ratchayothin theaters in the northern part of Bangkok. Below is a wider shot of the building with the billboard on the left.
